The month of Ramadan has passed, leaving behind valuable lessons on faith, compassion, and togetherness. Beyond being a time for personal spiritual growth, Ramadan also serves as a meaningful opportunity to nurture social awareness and extend kindness to others.

With this spirit, Yayasan Tunas Unggul once again carried out its Ramadan Social Initiative 1447 H as part of its commitment to instilling character values—particularly empathy and social responsibility—among all students.

This initiative was conducted in two main phases. The preparation phase took place from late January until March 12, 2026, covering fundraising efforts and technical planning. The distribution phase was held on March 13, 2026, across the SMP and SMA Tunas Unggul परिसर and Binar Ilmu School.

The fundraising process involved the entire school community, including the foundation, teachers, students from all levels, and parents. This collective participation became the driving force behind the successful realization of a meaningful and impactful social program.

As stated in the Qur’an:

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains."
(QS. Al-Baqarah: 261)

This verse serves as a reminder that every act of kindness, no matter how small, holds multiplied value and impact.

Through this initiative, assistance was distributed to 837 beneficiaries, including residents of Pasir Impun and Karang Pamulang, school staff and supporting personnel, students and communities around Binar Ilmu School, as well as local community leaders and government institutions. The assistance was provided in the form of staple food packages, with varying values depending on the recipient category. The total distribution reached IDR 98,317,154, with each package thoughtfully prepared to support basic needs, especially in welcoming Eid al-Fitr.

However, the true essence of this initiative lies not merely in the total value distributed, but in the learning process it fosters. This program serves as a tangible platform for students to understand and internalize values such as empathy, responsibility, and the spirit of giving in their daily lives.

Furthermore, the initiative strengthens the synergy between the school, parents, and the surrounding community—an essential foundation in building a holistic and character-driven educational environment.

This year’s Ramadan reaffirms that social responsibility is a value that must be continuously nurtured, beyond any particular moment or season. May all the good that has been shared become a lasting charity, and may we all be granted the opportunity to meet the next Ramadan in a better state.
