Tunas Unggul Primary School organized the PYP Carnival as part of learning activities for students across all grade levels, adopting the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) implemented at the school. The PYP Carnival was designed not merely as a festive event, but as a platform for students to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, and curiosity through meaningful, real-life learning experiences.

The PYP Carnival represents a celebration of inquiry-based learning, which is a hallmark of the IB PYP a curriculum that places students as agents of their own learning, encouraging them to explore, investigate, and take meaningful action within both local and global contexts. This approach supports students in developing transdisciplinary conceptual understanding, communication skills, and social-emotional competencies, while connecting their learning to the real world.
