The two accomplished students are siblings: Jefa Apta Nuraga (14), a Grade 9 student from Ingenious Class, and Nathan Humam Nursyaqieb (11), a Grade 5 student from Magnolia Class. Both are known for their strong interest in sports, particularly middle-distance running. Their passion for running has been consistently nurtured through regular training alongside their academic responsibilities.
Their achievements were not attained overnight. The preparation process involved regular physical training, effective time management between studying and practicing, and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Support from parents, teachers, and the school environment played a vital role in building their motivation and confidence to compete in large-scale national events.
Participation and success in these national races have had a positive impact on the students’ character development. In addition to enhancing physical fitness, these experiences fostered values such as discipline, independence, and perseverance, aligning closely with the IB Learner Profile. Their achievements are expected to inspire other students to continue developing their potential in both academic and non-academic fields.
The school extends its appreciation for the students’ accomplishments and remains committed to supporting and facilitating the development of students’ interests and talents. Through continuous encouragement, the school aims to help students achieve optimal performance while making a positive contribution to the school community.
