Ramadan is not merely a month to be learned, but a journey that is brought to life through meaningful experiences. At Tunas Unggul, the value of giving goes beyond understanding—it is expressed through action.

Within Tunas Unggul Playschool and Early Years, Ramadan becomes a space for children to learn about compassion in simple yet meaningful ways. The highlight of this journey took place on March 12, 2026, marking the closing of the Ramadan program. On this occasion, Playgroup and Kindergarten students invited children from orphanages to join and share moments of joy together. This was not only a gathering, but also an opportunity for children to learn how to give sincerely.

Tunas Unggul Early Years students presented a performance titled Ramadan Around the World, illustrating how Ramadan is celebrated across different parts of the world. Through this performance, children not only explored diversity but also conveyed messages of togetherness and joy to their guests.

The students also presented gift parcels that they had prepared with love. This process became a meaningful experience, teaching them that giving is not about how much we give, but about the sincerity behind it. This reflects the essence of action in IB learning—when knowledge and values developed in the classroom grow into real-life attitudes and behaviors.

The same spirit was reflected at the SMP level. As part of the Gema Ramadan series, SMP Tunas Unggul students invited children from orphanages to participate in drawing and painting activities together. This created a warm and welcoming space where happiness was built through simple moments of togetherness.

Through these activities, students learned to share not only material things, but also their time, attention, and joy. There were no boundaries—only meaningful interactions that strengthened empathy and social awareness.

Ultimately, Ramadan at Tunas Unggul is not just about programs, but about values that are nurtured and lived. Students do not only learn about the world—they learn how to make a difference in it.

Because true education is not only about knowledge, but also about shaping the heart and inspiring action.
