Bandung, June 9, 2025 – A warm and meaningful atmosphere embraced Tunas Unggul School during the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446 H. What made this moment truly special was not only the echoes of takbir and the spirit of giving, but also the remarkable leadership shown by high school students who took charge as the qurban committee.
As part of the second phase of the school’s qurban program, SMA (high school) students demonstrated impressive independence and leadership. They didn’t merely participate—they led. From preparation, organizing the slaughter of two sheep, to the distribution of meat, students were fully hands-on in every step of the process.
Two sheep were sacrificed at the high school campus and one at the junior high school. The meat was distributed in 50 packages to orphans from the Abdi Bakti Izzati Foundation (YABI) and to residents of RW 11, the neighborhood surrounding Tunas Unggul’s high school.
What made this initiative truly impactful was the real-life learning experience. Students planned the distribution, interacted directly with beneficiaries, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Through this process, they strengthened their leadership, teamwork, and most importantly, their empathy and social responsibility.
“Through this activity, we learned that qurban is not just about ritual slaughter—it’s about sharing gratitude through meaningful action. We’re honored to be involved and give back to the community,” said one student committee member.
The active involvement of high school students in this qurban event not only strengthened ties with the local community but also prepared them to become independent, caring, and heart-led future leaders.

To develop students spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually which then enables them to adapt and contribute in a global world.
