Language Month is a special moment for Tunas Unggul Primary School to continue cultivating a culture of reading and writing among its students. Through Reading Challenge 3.0, the school presented a series of inspiring and interactive activities that nurture the spirit of literacy from an early age.

The event began on October 20 with great enthusiasm. The launch of Reading Challenge 3.0, the inauguration of Literacy Ambassadors, and the presence of a Mobile Library became symbols of the school’s real commitment to strengthening literacy culture instilling both pride and love for reading.

The activities continued on October 27–28 with Literacy Workshops involving various literacy communities and partners. Students learned directly from Itenas University alumni in the Inspiration Class on Drawing, practiced storytelling and public speaking with their older peers from Tunas Unggul Junior and Senior High School in the Storytelling Class, and explored creative writing in the Young Writers Class with mentors from literary communities. This collaboration showed that literacy is not only about reading and writing, but also about developing confidence, imagination, and expression.

The highlight of the celebration took place on October 31 through the Literacy Exhibition, showcasing students’ best works—poems, short stories, comic strips, and posters. The Literacy Ambassadors also performed poetry readings, storytelling, and speeches on stage, accompanied by the lively Book Fair that attracted many visitors.

The spirit of literacy extended beyond students as well. Teachers and staff took part in the Great Team Inspirer session, opened by the Literacy Ambassador of Bandung City, along with engaging online classes on health literacy, learning literacy, and digital literacy, featuring inspiring guest speakers from various fields.

The entire series concluded with the Closing Ceremony & Awarding on November 7, featuring a colorful Parade of Favorite Book Characters.
Through Reading Challenge 3.0, Tunas Unggul Primary School reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a generation that loves reading, writes creatively, and shares inspiration with others.
