From Personal Projects to Parenting Talk, TU Fest 2025 at SMP Tunas Unggul

SMP Tunas Unggul held TU Fest from December 9 to 13, 2025, as a series of learning activities and character development programs for students. The event was designed to provide opportunities for students to showcase their learning outcomes, sharpen critical thinking skills, foster creativity, and build collaboration among the school, students, and parents.

One of the main agendas of TU Fest was the MSP Personal Project Defense and Expo for Grade 9 students, which marked the culmination of their project-based learning process. In addition, Learning Project Expos were held for Grades 7 and 8 as a platform to appreciate both the process and outcomes of project-based learning. The atmosphere of TU Fest was further enlivened by a food bazaar involving student participation and the school community.

The series of events also included a drama performance by the Bingah extracurricular group, titled “Bisikan”, showcasing students’ acting skills and teamwork. On the academic side, the school also organized a Try Out (TO) for all Grade 6 students as part of preparation for the next educational level.

As the closing event, TU Fest featured a parenting talk with Abah Hasan Faruqi on Saturday, December 13, 2025, under the theme “Accompanying with Love, Guiding with Faith.” Through this activity, SMP Tunas Unggul aims to strengthen synergy between the school and parents in supporting students’ academic, character, and spiritual development.
