Learning is not always about sitting in a classroom and listening. At SMP Tunas Unggul, learning is a living experience, one that can be seen, felt, and shared. This spirit was strongly reflected in the Project Expo for Grades 7 and 8, a moment where the long journey of learning found its tangible form.

In Grade 7, learning takes root in local culture by embracing a Sundanese theme. However, rather than stopping at theory, students are encouraged to truly bring these values to life through direct experience. One of the most memorable moments of the expo was the weaving activity carried out together with parents. In a warm and engaging atmosphere, students and parents sat side by side, weaving strands together into meaningful creations. More than just a craft activity, this moment created a space for connection, where values such as patience, precision, and appreciation for the process grew naturally. Culture was no longer something distant, but something close, experienced, and passed down through simple yet meaningful interactions.

Meanwhile, in Grade 8, learning moved toward a more exploratory and applied approach through the theme of fermentation. Students not only learned the scientific concepts behind the process, but also challenged themselves to transform their understanding into real products. Each group went through a lengthy journey, from research and experimentation to facing trials that did not always go as planned. From this process, various products were created and later introduced to visitors through selling activities. At this stage, learning evolved into something beyond knowledge. Students developed the courage to try, critical thinking skills, and an understanding of how ideas can be transformed into something valuable and meaningful.

As a whole, the Project Expo demonstrates that learning does not end with the final result. It is a journey that shapes how students think, collaborate, and see the world. From woven creations made together with parents to products introduced to the public, every work tells the story of the process behind it.

Through this experience, SMP Tunas Unggul continues to provide learning that is not only understood, but also experienced, preparing students to become individuals who are not only academically ready, but also equipped to face real-world challenges with confidence.
